John advised the University of Pennsylvania to salvage a heroic concert organ from a 19,000 seat auditorium they were razing to allow the construction of a new research hospital on their Philadelphia campus, and negotiated the gift of the organ to the newly established American Organ Institute of the OU School of Music, John Schwandt, Professor of Organ.
