Kotzschmar Organ

 

Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ 
Portland, ME (2007-2014)

As Chairman of FOKO’s Organ Committee, John Bishop oversaw the Centennial Renovation of the 100-stop Kotzschmar Organ located in Merrill Auditorium in Portland’s City Hall.  He led the process of preparing Request for Proposal, reviewing the several proposals, the selection of the organbuilder, and the drafting of the Agreement.  As Clerk of the Works, John oversaw all phases of the renovation including multiple visits to the organbuilder’s workshop, inspection and acceptance of the completed project.
